In the early days of Kodak cameras were apparently given to staff who walked the streets pressing the shutter almost at random. I have never seen those photographs, which must be a fascinating social record, but this site gives us an idea of what they might be like. A similar idea to Book Crossing but this time releasing disposable cameras into the wild.
