I have no objection to the idea of reading lists but when they are made as here in the name of 'Top People' it sets my teeth on edge. This is the same site on which posters to the Blog describe themselves as 'intellectuals'.
I have no brief with false modesty. It is one thing however to be confident about ones own abilities but quite another to use such Stalinist terminology.
I give them full credit however for providing direct links to Amazon searches on such terms as Socialism, Communism and New Labour - alongside of course Libertarianism, Margaret Thatcher etc.
