Norm has beaten me to a post about the appalling and disgraceful ejection of Walter Wolfgang from the Labour Party Conference for heckling. As appalling I think however is that he was prevented from re-entry by the police using powers under the Terrorism Act!
Also in today's Guardian (not available online) a throwaway comment by Austin Mitchell that he was forced by a policeman to delete from his camera pictures he took of the queue waiting to get into the conference. (In fact it appears that the policeman deleted them himself.)
What the hell is going on here? These are police state powers. We don't live in one yet, but if you need a demonstration that powers taken will always be used look no further.
