My reader may have noticed that the type lists on the left hand side have been revamped slightly.
Art Blogs etc is intended to provide links to the artists I come across on the web whose work I like, or who appear to be saying something interesting. I aim at some stage to start a regular post highlighting interesting posts or pieces of work, so if you have or know of an arts blog not represented, get in touch and I will have a look. Please note this is a personal selection, not a directory, so don't be offended if I don't include a link.
Selling stuff should be self explanatory. My intention is to link to as many of the online sites where you can sell your work directly. Again if you know of a site, let me know. This list is intended to be a directory, so inclusion of a site does not mean a recommendation. I have separate links to my own pages on the sites I use personally.
Arts Resources will have links to sites and/or specific posts likely to be useful to artists - 'how tos', other directories, advice on selling.
The Politics list will be going, but selected links will migrate to the 'Daily Blog'. A new list may yet appear dealing with the written word.
The reason behind all this is an attempt to bring this blog more in line with what I am actually doing, which is painting, printmaking and photography, than it has been over the last year or so. Political and environmental posts will continue to appear, but they will probably be in the minority. I don't have the time (or to be honest the inclination) to research and write the sort of long posts I used to do.
Also coming up will be interviews/profiles of artists, so if you think you might be interested in taking part, let me know. I'm working on a set of questions to be sent out, from which you can select and then on the basis of the answers I will probably follow up with supplementaries before writing the interview up for posting.
